About Life in Focus Therapy

Therapy for people who are ready to feel more grounded, clear, and connected.

Kimberly Beckler, LMHC offers compassionate, personalized therapy for adults, teens, and pre-teens navigating anxiety, trauma, grief, burnout, and life transitions.

Meet Kimberly Beckler, LMHC

I’m a licensed mental health counselor with experience in private practice, crisis response, and school-based mental health leadership.

Over the years, I’ve worked with adults, teens, pre-teens, families, educators, and school leaders through moments of stress, trauma, transition, and emotional overwhelm. Those experiences have shaped the way I show up in therapy: warm, grounded, collaborative, and focused on helping you feel supported while we work toward meaningful change.

In our work together, you can expect therapy to feel structured, but not stiff. We’ll move with intention, make room for what feels hard, and build the tools and insight you need to feel more steady in your everyday life.

EMDR-centered approach with CBT, DBT, grounding, and resourcing tools

A steady, supportive approach to therapy

Kimberly’s work is warm, collaborative, and paced with care. Sessions often include EMDR, CBT, DBT, grounding, emotional regulation, and resourcing tools to help you feel more supported in the present and more prepared for deeper healing.

Grounded first

We start with tools that help you feel more steady and supported.

Collaborative

Therapy is something we do together, with room for questions, feedback, and your pace.

Pacing matters

Deeper work happens thoughtfully, with care for what feels safe and manageable.

Helping life feel a little more in focus.

Life can start to feel blurry when you’re overwhelmed, anxious, grieving, burned out, or carrying things you haven’t fully had space to process.

Therapy can help you slow down, understand what’s been weighing on you, and begin seeing a clearer path forward. Not perfectly. Not all at once. But with more steadiness, support, and self-trust.

Experience that extends beyond the therapy room

Kimberly’s background includes years of work in schools, crisis response, leadership, and mental health services. That experience gives her a wide lens for understanding the pressures clients carry—not just individually, but within families, schools, work, relationships, and larger systems.

She brings that perspective into therapy with respect for the real-life context surrounding each client. Whether she’s supporting an adult through burnout or helping a teen build coping skills, Kimberly’s work is grounded in compassion, clarity, and practical support.

Perspective shaped by:

School-based mental health
Crisis response
Parent + educator support
Leadership experience

Outside the office

Outside of therapy, Kimberly loves spending time with family and friends, being near the water, traveling, experiencing new places and cultures, seeing live theater and music, and finding a good cup of coffee.

Having lived in four countries, she brings curiosity, openness, and appreciation for people’s stories into both her life and her work.
